Benefits
• Any wear resistant material to match the pipeline can be incorporated into the valve. Flanges to suit the piping standard. Standard materials include Basalt, Alumina, Ceramic and HDPE or others on request.
• Eliminates difficult to manufacture and install pipe to valve transition pieces, often the first items to wear out due to mismatching with other valve types.
• Overcomes turbulent wear created by other types of irregular bore valves.
• Seats are located well out of flow stream and pipe inserts would have to be completely worn out before any damage was to occur.
• Seat inserts from either end of valve vastly reduce the cost if replacement is required. For drip tight shutoff requirements, we use standard o-rings which means cheap easy spares.
• Very effective gland sealing assures a clean plant. The twin gland system incorporating scrapers providing excellent support for the packing. Designed vastly superior to most knifegate valves.
• To eliminate the problem of clogging, when the valve strokes closed it takes a thin slice of media out of the line into the valves lower chamber. On re-opening the slice is put back into the line. Standard purge (flushing) points can be used if necessary.
• Every valve is supplied with a capped stainless steel tube above the handwheel for stem protection in the open position. When the valve is closed a flexible reinforced vinyl boot incorporating double sealing stitch and weld construction keeps the stem clean.
• All manual valves are built for easy automation. Drive bush assembly can be removed without fuss allowing for pneumatic actuator direct mounting.
• Our pneumatic actuators, completely manufactured in house, are designed for minimum maintenance in the harshest environments. All seals are standard items obtainable from numerous local sources. Stainless steel bracket available for mounting proximity switches and solenoid valve. |
